51: How Do I Record My Podcast?

***I forgot to mention how close you need to be to your mic! Your mouth should be 3 to 6 inches away from your mic. Try this out during your test recording. And try to stay at the same distance throughout your recording. Sometimes I accidentally move around while recording, and you can tell during playback.
I’ve found that I sound best about 3 inches from my mic—and stay right there! Since I’m shooting video, I like to move my hands, which is why I move around. But I need to sound great for the podcast. That’s more important than looking great for the video. So, I’ve stopped moving my hands so much so that I can sound better for the audio.
